With over 30 years of experience when it comes to Airbags & what styles to use in vehicle & trailer applications, we stay well clear from the triple bellow style in as they tend to reduce your suspensions compressed height/travel due to all the extra rubber added with the center convolute & the airbag stability is compromised through the suspension travel/articulation/flex/movement where the center convolute pushes out in other directions (as per below image) that can cause airbag failure. Triple Convoluted airbags do have their place in the Industrial & Agricultural Machinery applications where limited movement is required & there is a unique internal telescopic stablising column which provides stability to the triple bellow during elevation but still allows some lateral movement.
If you have a well-designed Air Suspension Kit with a correctly specified airbag to maximise your suspension dynamics/travel, there is no need for one end to be left loose and in a cradle.

The only reason for the cradle cup is for airbags that do not have the ability to extend as far as your vehicles suspension limiting the travel & have been incorrectly selected for your vehicle.
